Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly addressed a chaotic incident at Port Harcourt International Airport, calling for a ban on pranks after he was involved in a scuffle captured in a viral video.

In the 53-second clip circulating online, Portable, dressed in a beige outfit, is seen confronting an unidentified person while security personnel and bystanders try to restrain him.

Some people in the scene are barefoot, and one is wielding what appears to be a belt or whip.

Reacting via his Instagram page, Portable accused pranksters of staging what he described as “death pranks”—extreme stunts intended to inflict emotional or physical harm. He claimed the stunt was so intense, it nearly turned into a cult-like confrontation.

He used the Yoruba phrase, “Ten yellow no fit stand one blue,” implying that many antagonists (yellow) cannot overpower one determined opponent (blue). He said the incident harmed his image and insisted he was the victim of fake publicity.

Portable also appealed to authorities to outlaw dangerous prank videos and reprimand bloggers who spread false or misleading content.

He wrote, in part: “Make government stop all those prankers and some fake bloggers… stop all this fake news post just because of small fame. Why una dey spoil person wey get glory name with una platforms.”

This is not the first time Portable has been involved in public controversies. In past years, he has had altercations and was once declared wanted by police in an assault case.
