In pursuit of better opportunities, Johnlafta relocated to Cotonou, Benin Republic in 2017, marking the beginning of a new phase in his life. However, his most challenging period came in 2020, when he returned to Lagos, Nigeria, after completing his studies. With a strong desire to focus on his comedy career, he found himself facing financial instability, with no accommodation or money. There were even nights when he had to sleep in gutters. Despite these hardships, his determination and belief in his talent propelled him forward.
Johnlafta’s struggles deepened his sense of empathy, allowing him to understand the limitations faced by many celebrities who are often perceived as aloof. His own experiences fueled a desire to dream beyond personal success.
Today, Johnlafta is a celebrated comedian. He has built a house for his parents, owns a Lexus 350, and has also excelled as a footballer, representing various countries and earning numerous medals. His success story is a source of inspiration for many aspiring comedians.
