Seun Kuti Sparks Debate: Most Female Homeowners in Nigeria Have BBLs

Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has stated that approximately 80% of female homeowners in Nigeria have undergone Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures. He expressed this observation in a recent Instagram post, suggesting a correlation between body enhancement surgeries and property ownership among Nigerian women of his generation. Kuti remarked, “For this Nigeria sha, I never see any woman wey get house, wey no do BBL.”

The Brazilian Butt Lift is a cosmetic surgery that involves liposuction to remove fat from areas like the abdomen or thighs, which is then purified and injected into the buttocks to create a fuller appearance.

In Nigeria, the procedure has gained popularity, particularly among women seeking to enhance their physical appearance.
