Gospel music minister Dorcas Awolumate, founder of the Dorcas Awolumate Music Ministry (DAMM) and the Act Of Dorcas Empowerment programme, is gearing up to celebrate a major milestone—10 years of DAMM. The celebration, scheduled for July 20 at Freudes Place, Lagos, will also mark seven years of her annual Song of Praise concert and the launch of her new album.
Dorcas, originally from Abeokuta, shared her excitement for the upcoming event, describing it as divinely ordained. She noted that she and other ministers are eagerly anticipating the big day. In a recent conversation, she recounted her journey, explaining that she officially began her music career in 2013. In 2015, God inspired her to start the “Sacrifice of Praise” concert, which began in 2017 and has since been a blessing to many.
In 2018, she expanded her outreach by founding the Act Of Dorcas Empowerment programme, which supports the needy. The initiative has touched numerous lives, and Dorcas remains committed to its mission, believing that God will enable her to do even more in the future.
