With his popular song “Calm Down,” afrobeats artist Rema has secured the top spot on the list of 2022’s Most Viewed Nigerian Music Videos on YouTube.
Reputable data intelligence and digital ecosystem company Dataleum created the list, which was made public on Friday.
The ‘Calm Down’ video by Rema received around 300 million views on YouTube, according to a list that examined views of official music videos that were posted in 2022.
Kizz Daniel’s “Buga” (107 million views) and Burna Boy’s “Last Last” (nearly 140 million views) came in close second and third, respectively.
“For My Hand,” a Burna Boy and Ed Sheeran song, ranked fourth with 70 million views, while Pheelz’s “Finesse,” starring BNXN, received 61 million.
The only other female on the list, Ayra Starr, placed sixth with her song “Rush,” which received 53.1 million views on YouTube.
Other videos on the list include the 53 million-plus Bandana (Fireboy ft Asake), 44 million Overloading (Mavin All Stars), 35 million Sungba remix (Asake ft Burna Boy), and 53 million No Wahala remix (1da Banton ft Kizz Daniel, Tiwa Savage).
