In order to secure his win in the state’s July 22 governorship election, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, the governor of Osun State, called on residents of Iragbiji, his hometown in the Boripe local government area, to vote for him on Monday.
When the governor’s reelection campaign trail reached the town, he delivered the charge and declared, “I have come home today; I am a true son of the soil.” I beg you to cast your vote for us. Cast your ballot for the APC because God has shown you mercy.
“The governor’s seat, which God has given you, is the most significant position in a party; thus, is it appropriate to form another party apart from the governor’s?
“I beg those who haven’t yet gathered their PVCs to please do so. We were informed that Boripe is part of Osun, where more than 600,000 PVCs have not been collected.
“I have faith in God for the upcoming election; please cast your vote for us. Do you not feel pleased with our success in Ekiti? The two states originate from the same area.
“Our party’s performance will surpass the outcome of the Ekiti election.” Let’s pray and strive toward that. Even though they are parading goons as members, don’t panic. That group of goons would have fled before the poll.
“I thank God that we were able to produce infrastructure among other things in just three and a half years. Boripe is feeling this.
Speaking in Ikirun, in the state’s Ifelodun local government area, the governor also announced his candidacy for reelection and vowed to support them.
In addition, if he was re-elected as state governor, he assured them of the benefits of democracy. The director of Oyetola’s reelection campaign, Senator Ajibola Basiru, stated in his address that “we are voting electronically in the upcoming election, so there is no need for fighting or force.” A device known as BVAS is capable of analyzing thumbprints and faces.
“Anyone shouting Oyetola for the second term and not owning PVC is not doing well.”
“I warn voters to watch their ballots on election day because the opposition is trying to steal our votes. Let’s turn out in large numbers to vote in Boripe; the local authority is anticipating 65,487 votes.
“If anybody claims that civil servants are angry with the present government, it is a pure lie,” he insisted regarding the state’s civil servants. Oyetola has received the support of all employees for a second term.
