As of June 2022, the FAAC shares revenue with the FG, LGCs, and the states.

The Federal Government, the states, and Local Government Councils have received a total of N802.407 billion in June 2022 Federation Account Revenue from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC).

This is stated in a statement released during the July 2022 Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting in Abuja.

Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue of N193.827 billion and distributable statutory revenue of N608.580 billion made up the total distributable revenue of N802.407 billion.

The entire amount deducted in June 2022 for collection costs was N44.606 billion, whereas the total amount deducted for transfers, savings, refunds, and the 13% derivation to Anambra State was N373.200 billion.

$376,655.09 was the amount in the Excess Crude Account (ECA).

According to the communiqué, the relevant states received N52.799 billion as 13 percent derivation revenue, while the federal government received N321.859 billion, state governments received N245.418 billion, and local government councils received N182.330 billion of the total distributable revenue of N802.407 billion.

For the month of June 2022, gross statutory revenue of N1,012.065 billion was received. This was N422.113 billion more than the N589.952 billion that was received the month before.

The federal government received N292.785 billion, state governments received N148.505 billion, and local government councils received N114.491 billion of the N608.580 billion distributable statutory revenue. The remaining N52.799 billion was distributed to the relevant states as 13 percent derivation revenue.

The Value Added Tax’s (VAT) gross revenue for the month of June 2022 was N208.148 billion. This was N5.031 billion less than the N213.179 billion that was available in May 2022.

The federal government received N29.074 billion, state governments received N96.914 billion, and local government councils received N67.839 billion from the N193.827 billion distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue.

The communiqué states that although import duties and oil and gas royalties increased only little in June 2022, companies income tax (CIT) and petroleum profit tax (PPT) saw enormous rises. Value Added Tax (VAT) dropped somewhat but excise duties decreased dramatically.

The PDP spokesman remembered how the opposition party had warned on multiple times that terrorists, “many of whom were imported into our country by the APC,” had gained control over a significant chunk of our nation.

“From the video, terrorists as non-state actors boldly showed their faces, boasting, admitting and confirming their participation in the Kuje Prison break,” the speaker continued. “Some of them were former prison inmates who were either jailed or awaiting trial.”

“Nigerians can equally recall the confession by the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai that the APC government knows the plans and whereabouts of the terrorists but failed to act.

It is estimated that between 2020 and 2022, terrorists killed roughly 18,000 Nigerians “as the criminals continue to be emboldened by the failures and obvious complicity of the APC and to which the PDP had always drawn attention.” Ologunagba said.

“This is not politics; this is about humanity and leadership, which leadership sadly and unfortunately is missing in our country at this time,” he remarked.

In addition, the PDP expressed its disgust at “the pathetic response by the seemingly helpless, naive, and deflated Buhari Presidency,” which informed the nation in agony that President Buhari “has done all and even more than what was expected of him as Commander in Chief by way of morale, material, and equipment support to the military.”

“The APC and the Buhari Presidency are openly admitting their incompetence and failure with this statement. In other countries, during similar circumstances, the president takes the initiative and takes decisive action to save and defend the people.

“When faced with hardship, the President becomes the Consoler-in-Chief, offering the people comfort and hope.” Painfully, Nigeria does not have a President who cares and can stand as Consoler-in-Chief to the public.

Nigerians must immediately take notice and understand that holding the APC government responsible is the only way to end this terrible circumstance. To oppose the fascist leanings of the APC leadership, we as a people must unite, regardless of our political, racial, or religious connections.

In order to provide guidance on how to address the country’s escalating insecurity, Ologunagba demanded an urgent meeting of the National Council of State.

“Our country cannot collapse. The PDP spokesman said, “The President has, in his own admission, come to his wit’s end. Therefore, we must all revive the resilient Nigerian spirit and ‘can-do-attitude’ to prevail on the President to immediately and without further delay, accede to the demand by the PDP and other well-meaning Nigerians to convene a special session of the National Council of State to find a lasting solution.”
