Popular Nigerian gospel singer and evangelist Bunmi Akinnaanu, widely recognized by her stage name Bunmi Omije Ojumi, has passed away.
The sad news of her demise was announced on Tuesday by fellow gospel musician Alayo Melody, who shared an official statement from the family on Instagram. The post included a photograph of the late singer and a short video documenting her final moments, confirming the heartbreaking development.
According to the family, Bunmi Akinnaanu died on January 12, 2026, while receiving treatment at a hospital in Lagos.
