Fubara Shuns Ibas in Broadcast After Resumption in Rivers State

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Wednesday evening made an unexpected appearance at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, sparking fresh political conversations.

Sources confirmed that the visit came shortly after the governor’s exit from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Fubara arrived at the APC headquarters at approximately 6:50 p.m. and was warmly received by key officials of the ruling party.

Among those on ground to welcome him were the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru; the National Welfare Secretary, Hon. Donatus Nwapa; and the Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru. Also present was the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN.

Clad in a white kaftan and wearing a red cap, the South-South governor explained to party leaders that although he was scheduled to attend the Progressive Governors’ Forum meeting, he considered it important to first pay a courtesy visit to the party’s national headquarters.

Following his brief interaction with party officials, Governor Fubara was led into the office of the National Secretary, where discussions were held behind closed doors.
