Veteran Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia—better known as 2Face or 2Baba—and Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru have joyfully welcomed a baby boy, marking the couple’s first child together.
Rumours of the baby’s arrival swept through social media early Friday after Osawaru was reportedly sighted at a hospital, prompting widespread speculation that she was in labour.
The suspense ended hours later when the lawmaker confirmed the news with a brief but heartfelt post on her official Facebook page, announcing that they had been “blessed with a baby boy.”
Her message immediately set off a wave of celebratory reactions, as fans, supporters, and well-wishers flooded her page with congratulatory remarks.
The birth of their son adds a new milestone to a relationship that has consistently captured public interest. 2Baba and Osawaru formalised their partnership earlier this year, following the singer’s separation from Annie Idibia in January.
Their love story gained momentum in the public eye—from the romantic Valentine’s Eve proposal to a series of family visits and traditional rites that unfolded over the following months.
In July, the couple held an intimate traditional wedding ceremony in Abuja, attended only by close relatives. Despite its private nature, the event fuelled even more public fascination with their union.
