Wunmi, the widow of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has spoken out against viral claims suggesting she recently gave birth to a baby girl months after her husband’s death.
The rumours surfaced on social media after certain photos began circulating online, with claims that the images showed Wunmi holding a newborn child. The speculation quickly gained traction, drawing widespread attention.
Reacting via her Snapchat page, Wunmi firmly dismissed the reports, stating that she has not had another child. She clarified that the photos being shared are fake and described the claims as false and misleading. She also appealed to the public to stop spreading unverified information about her life.

Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, passed away in September 2023 under controversial circumstances. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
Since then, Wunmi has remained in the spotlight, facing persistent online scrutiny ranging from paternity controversies and harassment to repeated rumours about her personal life.
In a related development, Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, has revealed that plans to lay the late singer to rest are tied to the outcome of a DNA test.
According to reports, the test is meant to address lingering questions surrounding the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam, an issue that has caused tension between Joseph Aloba and Wunmi.
In a video currently circulating online, Mohbad’s father stated that the DNA test is the major reason for the delay in his son’s burial. He added that once the test is concluded, the family intends to proceed with the burial and move forward.
