‘We No Reach 5 Weh Never Join Cult’ – Naira Marley Makes Shocking Revelation About Music Industry

Popular Nigerian singer Azeez Adeshina Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, has stirred controversy after alleging that cultism is deeply embedded in the Nigerian music industry.

According to reports, the artist made the claims in a series of posts shared on his 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) account, where he suggested that only a very small number of musicians in the industry have never been affiliated with cult groups. He further alleged that some individuals who allegedly introduced others into cultism now move freely with police protection.

In his words, Naira Marley implied that fear and tension once surrounded their presence in Nigeria, claiming that many people believed something violent could happen whenever certain artists returned to the country or appeared in public.

Addressing ongoing controversies surrounding his name—particularly past accusations linking him to the death of his former signee, Mohbad—the singer issued a firm disclaimer. He stressed that he should not be associated with any death or violent incident within the music industry.

Naira Marley also claimed that many of the artists allegedly involved in cult-related activities do not share genuine friendships. According to him, their relationships are largely driven by convenience and shared interests rather than loyalty or mutual respect.
