President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that Nigeria has moved beyond its worst phase, stating that the country has “turned the corner” and brighter days lie ahead.
Speaking at the coronation ceremony of Senator Rasheed Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Tinubu affirmed that the economic reforms instituted by his administration are bearing fruit despite persistent hardships.
“We promised a change, today I can confidently tell you that the worst is over,” he said, adding that Nigeria is no longer where it was ten years ago.
The President also urged critics and naysayers to stop speaking ill of the country, insisting that the nation is past the brink of collapse and on a path to recovery.

Tinubu tied the optimism to macroeconomic indicators showing early signs of improvement—slowing inflation, appreciation of the naira, rising reserves—but cautioned that the gains must be deepened so that citizens feel real relief.
