Afrobeats heavyweight Burna Boy has reportedly scrapped five scheduled arena shows from his ongoing ‘NSOW Tour’ following a noticeable slump in ticket sales across multiple cities.
The dip in interest began shortly after a controversial video went viral, showing the Grammy winner ordering several concertgoers out of his show for allegedly dozing off during his set.
The clip, widely circulated on social media, triggered heavy criticism, with fans accusing the singer of humiliating his audience and displaying poor concert etiquette.
The online outrage quickly spilled into real-world consequences, as ticket sales for upcoming tour stops began to plunge.
In response, Burna Boy’s team quietly updated the tour roster, removing five dates from the public schedule.

Burna Boy Addresses the Controversy
During a performance in Dallas, the African Giant directly addressed the backlash.
In an unexpected moment of vulnerability, he apologised to fans and acknowledged the impact the incident has had on his tour.
His words: “I know my ticket sales are suffering since that incident. Even the coffee I introduced, no one is buying. So please, I’m sorry to everyone and everything I said. It was a slip of tongue.”
The apology has stirred mixed reactions — some fans applauded him for taking responsibility, while others felt the damage had already been done.
