As the first and only player from Africa to be listed in the top 10 in the world of table tennis, Quadri Aruna has created history.
In the most recent rankings, the Nigerian, who was ranked 12th in the previous rankings, has risen two spots to 10th.
In addition to the several first African records listed on his biography, Quadri has added yet another to his increasing list of accomplishments.
But Bode Abiodun, a Nigerian, rose an astounding 34 places to be ranked 97th in the world.
The top three are, predictably, composed of three Chinese people: Fan Zhendong (CHN), Ma Long (CHN), and Liang Jingkun (CHN).
