The final 30 Nigeria Flying Eagles squad for the WAFU B Championship is made up of 12 NPFL players.

Twelve NPFL players were chosen by Nigeria Flying Eagles coach Ladan Bosso from among his thirty U-20 players for the WAFU B Championship. The squad of flying Eagles will now travel to Niamey for the competition, which takes place from May 7–20, 2022.

Seven-time champions from Africa Nigeria is traveling to Niamey, the capital of the Niger Republic, for this year’s WAFU B U20 Championship, which will take place there from May 7–20. The Nigeria Football Federation has scheduled two friendly matches in Niamey to get the team in peak condition and preparedness for the competition proper. Nigeria’s delegation is scheduled to arrive in Niamey on Thursday.
A squad of thirty players, chosen by head coach Ladan Bosso, will play in Group B against the Young Etalons of Burkina Faso and the Black Satellites of Ghana. Group A will feature matches between hosts Niger Republic, Benin Republic, Togo, and Cote d’Ivoire.

More than forty players were sent home due to age discrepancies, and the majority of those on the list are NPFL players.

On Sunday, May 8, the Flying Eagles will play their opening game of the competition against well-known opponents, Ghana, and then three days later, they will play Burkina Faso. The General Seyni Kountche Stadium in Niamey is the venue for both games.
From each group, two sides will advance to the semi-finals, and the two winners will represent the WAFU B zone in the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations.

The Africa U20 Cup of Nations in 2023 will be held in Egypt, and the FIFA U20 World Cup finals in 2023 will be held in Indonesia. To represent Africa in Indonesia, all four of the tournament’s semifinalists from Egypt will be eligible.
