Group C Standings

With the win, Nigeria now has 14 points from nine matches, trailing South Africa, who also have 14 points but lead on goal difference.

Benin Republic, previously penalized by FIFA for fielding an ineligible player, has been reinstated with a 3–0 victory over Lesotho, placing them in contention.

The Super Eagles’ final qualifier is against Benin Republic, a match that could determine their qualification fate.

Nigeria must secure a victory and hope for favorable results in other matches to advance directly to the World Cup or qualify through the playoffs.
