Sowore Accuses FCT Minister Wike of Criminal Allegations, Calls for ICC Action

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has made sharp accusations against Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), alleging that Wike should face prosecution at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Sowore’s reaction followed statements by Wike in which he criticized Sowore’s long-standing criticisms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Wike had reportedly warned critics like Sowore that they are fortunate Tinubu governs under the rule of law.

On his verified X account, Sowore described Wike using strong language, calling him “drunkard–murderer–landgrabber–thief” and accusing him of multiple alleged wrongdoings.

“I heard that the FCT’s drunkard–murderer–landgrabber–thief minister, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, said Bola Ahmed Tinubu should have assassinated me for calling him #TinubuisAcriminal.”

He went on to claim that Wike has engaged in land grabbing in Abuja, “robbed” people of Rivers State, and perpetrated violence in Obigbo, stating: “Wike should be in the Hague at the International Criminal Court.”

Wike’s office has not officially responded to Sowore’s latest allegations as of the time of this report.
