Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, and his wife, Nonye Soludo, have dismissed the recent apology tendered by Senator Uche Ekwunife, describing it as “fake and insincere.”

Frontpagenews reports that Ekwunife, who once represented Anambra Central Senatorial District, had publicly apologised to the governor and his family, expressing regrets over her previous political actions.

However, in a sharp reaction on Tuesday, Governor Soludo and his wife made it clear that they do not consider her apology genuine.

According to the governor, Ekwunife’s sudden move was nothing more than “political theatrics” aimed at gaining public sympathy rather than a heartfelt reconciliation.

His wife, Nonye, echoed the same sentiment, stressing that the apology failed to reflect sincerity, honesty, or accountability.

The development has sparked fresh debate in Anambra political circles, especially given the history of rivalry and heated exchanges between Ekwunife and the Soludo family in the build-up to the 2021 governorship election.
