Nigerian singer and songwriter, Qudus Fakoya Oluwadamilare, popularly known as Qdot, has revealed he was robbed at gunpoint in his Lagos residence in the early hours of Sunday.
The artist described the experience as “shocking” and “traumatizing,” raising fresh concerns about security threats targeting public figures.
Armed Attack in the Early Hours
The incident reportedly occurred around 2:30 a.m., when unidentified armed men stormed the singer’s home.
The assailants allegedly carted away several personal items including mobile phones, laptops, and other electronic devices.
They were also said to have accessed Qdot’s bank accounts, transferring funds before fleeing the scene.
Sources close to the artist claim the attackers further compromised his social media accounts, putting both Qdot and his fan base at risk of potential fraud or impersonation.
Management Confirms Incident
The singer’s talent manager, Dami Adenuga, confirmed the robbery via a statement shared on social media, warning the public to be wary of any suspicious messages or financial solicitations from the singer’s accounts.
“Nigerian singer Qdot was attacked and robbed at gunpoint in his home around 2:30 a.m. today. The armed robbers carted away his phones, laptops, and transferred all funds from his accounts. They also gained access to his social media accounts,” the statement read.
Adenuga also urged fans and the general public to disregard any messages or posts made from Qdot’s handles until further notice.
Singer Traumatized, Investigation Ongoing
Although Qdot has yet to release a detailed personal statement, sources say the singer is still in shock following the terrifying ordeal.

Efforts are currently underway to recover control of his digital platforms and trace the financial transactions made during the incident.
As of press time, the Lagos State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the attack. However, investigations are believed to be ongoing.
