The Nigeria Football Federation’s Executive Committee has accepted the Technical and Development Sub-Committee’s suggestion that Salisu Yusuf be appointed Head Coach of both the U23 (Olympic) team and the Super Eagles B (CHAN team).
Yusuf, who led the Super Eagles B to the runners-up spot in the 2018 African Nations Championship in Morocco, will collaborate with Kennedy Boboye, Fatai Osho, Abubakar Bala Mohammed, Fidelis Ikechukwu, Eboboritse Uwejamomere, Match Analyst, Ike Shorounmu, Goalkeepers’ Trainer, and Suleiman Shuaibu, Goalkeepers’ Trainer 2.
Ladan Bosso continues to serve as the U20 Boys’ head coach in addition to his other roles. He will collaborate with assistant coaches Fatai Amao, Oladuni Oyekale, Jolomi Atune Alli, and Baruwa Olatunji Abideen, who was the head coach of the U17 team in the past.
The U17 Boys Golden Eaglets Head Coach is Nduka Ugbade. He will collaborate with assistant coaches Ahmad Lawal Dankoli, Omoniyi Haruna Ilerika, Yemi Daniel, and goalkeepers’ trainer Mohammed Nasiru Isah. The first Nigerian cadet team to win the FIFA U16 World Cup in China in 1985 was led by Ugbade.
Patrick Bassey will serve as head coach of the U13/15 Boys team, known as the Future Eagles. He will collaborate with Abdullahi Tyabo Umar, Mohammed Kalli Kachalla, Ifeanyi Uba, Alh. Mohammed Kwairanga, and Abubakar Abdullahi, the goalkeepers’ trainer.
The NFF added that after the procedures for his engagement and contract signing are finished, the new head coach of the Super Eagles would be formally introduced.
The NFF Executive Committee has also accepted the Technical & Development Sub-Committee’s recommendation that the new head coach serve as first assistant to Coach Salisu Yusuf, whenever he is free from his obligations with the Super Eagles B/U23 Team. Usman Abdallah will be the third assistant, and former Nigerian international Finidi George will serve as the second assistant. Ike Shorounmu, a former Nigerian international, will serve as the goalkeepers’ trainer, while Eboboritse Uwejamomere will serve as the match analyst.
