Leading soft drink company Pepsi Nigeria has revealed that iconic singer Rema and legendary afrobeat musician Lagbaja would be performing together for the first time ever at the ninth Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards, bringing their Confam Gbedu experience to life.
Pepsi revealed in a statement to Sunday Scoop that the celebrity performers will perform live at the event on May 14, 2022.
Segun Ogunleye, general manager of marketing at Seven-Up Bottling Company, expressed his happiness with Pepsi’s participation in the AMVCA, calling it an extension of the brand’s passion point. Pepsi is committed to promoting Nigerian pop culture by crafting unique and unforgettable experiences.
“The AMVCA honors exceptional accomplishments in the continent’s film industry,” he declared. We, for our part, consider the AMVCA relationship as a chance to honor our exceptional entertainers by giving our patrons and the general public an unforgettable experience.
Pepsi also revealed that, in an effort to encourage musicians as well as sound engineers, it will award the winner of the Best Soundtrack Category with a N1 million cash prize.
On the second day of the eight-day film festival, there will be a fashion show event where the soft drink manufacturer will present its collections. It further stated that it will be available to offer premium refreshments during the AMVCA’s schedule of events.
