Popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has taken a subtle swipe at her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, following the release of her elder brother, Sammy West, from detention.
According to reports, Sammy regained his freedom on Monday, November 10, 2025, after several days in custody. He was earlier remanded at the Keffi Prison by a Dutse Magistrate Court before being moved to Suleja Prison.
The news of his bail was shared online by his brother, who goes by @Sweezzy1 on Instagram. In his post, he celebrated the development, writing: “Sammy, you are a great man. Bail has been granted! Nigerians, thank you.”
Following her brother’s release, Regina Daniels took to social media to express her relief and appreciation to fans and well-wishers who stood by her family throughout the ordeal.
The actress described the overwhelming show of support as proof of genuine love, saying she felt deeply touched by the calibre of people who came to her aid.
However, the mother of two did not hold back from throwing a jab at her estranged husband. In a post that appeared to mock Ned Nwoko, Regina wrote:
“Joke’s on you, Ned, because you thought people would hate me,” accompanied by a playful tongue-out emoji.
The actress further reflected on the difficult period, admitting that while many mocked her online, the criticism only made her tougher.
She also mentioned that she dislikes being pitied, preferring instead to stand strong in the face of challenges.
