Nigerian street‑rap sensation Portable has ignited fresh controversy after releasing a diss track aimed at businessman and online promoter Linus Williams Ifejirika (popularly known as “BLord”) following a fallout over payment demands.
According to reports, BLord declined Portable’s earlier request for ₦1 million to record a diss‑track for another party, instead offering the rapper that amount while expecting Portable’s co‑operation. Portable rejected this, insisting that his value far exceeded that sum and demanding a staggering ₦1 billion instead.
In response, Portable took to his Instagram page to launch a sharp musical attack dubbed “Lienus Elenu”, in which he launches personal jibes at BLord, accusing him of dishonesty and comparing his status unfavourably to other Nigerian show‑business heavyweights. “LieNus Elenu, no level,” he raps in the track.
The conflict traces back to a previous clash between BLord and Verydarkman, which revolved around the sale of refurbished iPhones.
As part of that skirmish, BLord had reportedly offered Portable ₦1 million to target Verydarkman in a diss track—but the rapper rejected the deal and pivoted his diss towards BLord instead.
Beyond the track itself, Portable also made additional demands: he asked for the latest iPhone 17 Pro Max alongside the cash payment, and took to direct‑messaging BLord to proclaim that several billionaire promoters had previously rewarded him “without stress”.
Many suggest this episode highlights the growing boldness of street‑rap artists in Nigeria, especially in how they negotiate value and brand worth.
