The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has officially announced that Port Harcourt will host the 2025 Nigeria Basketball Premier League (NBPL) Finals. This decision underscores the city’s growing prominence in Nigerian basketball and its capacity to stage major sporting events.

In a letter dated August 19, 2025, addressed to all participating clubs, the NBBF confirmed that Port Harcourt would serve as one of the four host cities for the league’s revamped structure.
Notably, Port Harcourt is the only city selected to host both Phase I and Phase II of the competition, which will be divided into four phases: Group, Inter-Group, Playoff, and Final Four, spanning the Savannah and Atlantic Conferences.

The Indoor Basketball Court located at 54 Niger Street, Port Harcourt Township, will be the primary venue for the Atlantic Conference’s Group B games.
This group includes the defending champions, Rivers Hoopers BC, alongside Delta Force, Oluyole Warriors, and Kwara Falcons.
