Reality TV personality Josephina Otabor, widely known as Phyna, has spoken candidly about what she believes caused a noticeable shift in her relationship with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.

According to Phyna, the change began after she became associated with controversial social media commentator Martins Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan (VDM). She shared her thoughts during a recent live interaction with fans, where she reflected on how Iyabo Ojo’s attitude toward her appeared to change over time.

Phyna recalled that the actress had previously been very supportive, regularly engaging with her posts through likes and comments. However, she said that this online support suddenly stopped, leaving her with the impression that something had gone wrong. In her view, the timing strongly suggested that her connection with VDM played a major role.

The former Big Brother Naija winner admitted that the situation made her feel distanced from Iyabo Ojo and affected her emotionally. She also noted that the fallout went beyond that single relationship, as her association with VDM allegedly created tension with other influencers and dragged her into public disputes she would normally stay away from.

Speaking openly, Phyna said her link to the outspoken activist sparked unnecessary online confrontations, including a clash with fellow influencer Vee Iyele. She expressed regret over being drawn into such conflicts, attributing them to her involvement with VDM.

VeryDarkMan, whose online presence is often marked by controversies and celebrity call-outs, has been at the center of several social media feuds, a reputation Phyna believes may have contributed to the strained relationships she now faces.
