The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has accused members of President Bola Tinubu’s administration of engaging in document forgery.
The opposition party claims that several individuals within the government have falsified official documents to secure positions and benefits.
In a statement released earlier today, the PDP alleged that these actions undermine the integrity of the administration and call into question the legitimacy of appointments made under its watch.
“Many people in Tinubu’s government have forged documents to attain their current positions,” the statement reads. “This is a clear indication of the administration’s disregard for due process and the rule of law.”
The PDP has called for a thorough investigation into these allegations and demands that any individuals found guilty be held accountable.
Previous Allegations of Forgery
This is not the first time that allegations of document forgery have surfaced involving President Tinubu and his administration.
In 2023, the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, presented what he claimed to be evidence of forged documents submitted by Tinubu to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the 2023 elections.
These included discrepancies in educational certificates and other official records.
The PDP has consistently maintained that these documents were falsified and has urged the relevant authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly.
Government’s Response
At the time, the government dismissed the allegations, asserting that the documents in question were authentic and that no evidence of forgery had been presented.
The presidency has yet to respond to the latest accusations from the PDP.
Call for Transparency
The PDP has emphasized the need for transparency and accountability within the government. They argue that the alleged forgery undermines public trust and sets a dangerous precedent for future administrations.

“If these allegations are proven true, it would be a grave violation of public trust and a betrayal of the Nigerian people,” the PDP statement concludes.
As of now, no official investigation has been announced regarding the new allegations. The PDP has vowed to pursue all legal avenues to ensure that any wrongdoing is addressed and that those responsible are held accountable.
