This past weekend, at the Ikot Ekpene Township stadium in Akwa Ibom state, Ibom Youths FC defeated visiting Osun United 3-0, recording one of the largest winning margins in the Nigerian National League.
Ibom Youths FC defeated Adoration FC, Ekiti United, Giants Brillars, and Ikorodu United at the same location before finishing the first quarter with a perfect home record with to goals from Adrian Eddidion (2) and Gift Henshaw (1).
In Enugu, Vandrezzer Fc from Lagos managed to hold Giant Brillars to a 1-1 tie. Before Lekan Abdulsalam, the all-time top scorer for Vandrezzer FC, struck the equalizer to guarantee that the Lions of Naija would not lose, the team was on the verge of defeat.
