Eyewitnesses reported that Eguari, believed to be in his 20s, was at a beer parlour on Ejakita Street in Abbi, enjoying the festivities with friends. At around the same time, members of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, a notorious cult group known for their violent activities, stormed the venue and shot him dead.
A community source, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that this group had been responsible for numerous violent crimes in the area, including armed robbery, murder, drug trafficking, and other violent offenses. The source also called for immediate intervention from the Delta State Government and human rights organizations to address the escalating violence in the region.
