Three-year-old Simeon Jeremiah has been diagnosed with a severe congenital heart condition known as Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), which presents four complex heart defects that impact blood flow throughout his body. His condition results in frequent breathlessness and a bluish discoloration, a sign of inadequate oxygenation. Medical experts at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital in Edo State have recommended immediate surgical intervention to correct his condition.
The echocardiogram revealed that Simeon’s TOF is complicated by critical pulmonary stenosis, a severe obstruction that restricts blood flow to his lungs. Doctors have stressed that urgent surgical repair is essential for him to live a normal, healthy life. The estimated cost of the surgery and associated medical expenses is N5 million.
Due to the financial strain from continuous hospital visits and medication costs, Simeon’s mother, Olorunda Precious, has been unable to cover the necessary funds. A small business owner, she has turned to the public through the Gifting Volunteer Network, seeking urgent financial assistance for her son’s life-saving surgery.
In a heartfelt appeal, she shared, “It has become increasingly difficult to manage Simeon’s care along with our daily needs. We’re seeking support to help save my son. Surgery is our only hope to give him a chance at a normal life.”
