Senator Ned Nwoko has dismissed rumors suggesting that he is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant with his child.
Rumors Spark Speculation After Regina Daniels’ Silence
The rumors gained traction following reports of an alleged affair between Nwoko and Ike. Speculation intensified after Regina Daniels, Nwoko’s wife, deactivated her Instagram account, leading to assumptions that the alleged relationship had caused tension in their marriage.
However, in a statement released on Monday by Nwoko’s Director of Communications, the allegations were dismissed as “entirely baseless” and a product of malicious speculation. The statement, which was also shared on Nwoko’s Instagram page, featured pictures of the Senator and Regina Daniels, reinforcing their unity.
Nwoko’s Office Refutes Allegations
The statement read:
“Our attention has been drawn to the recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.”
It also refuted reports that Nwoko made controversial statements about singer Tuface Idibia and polygamy.
“Similarly, reports claiming he made statements about Tuface and polygamy are completely untrue. As a public figure and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories.”
Nwoko’s Focus Remains on His Political Mandate
The statement clarified that Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, emphasizing that he is focused on fulfilling his political responsibilities and has no time for distractions.
It concluded with a warning against the spread of fake news, urging the public to disregard the rumors and rely only on official statements from Nwoko’s office.
With this clarification, Nwoko’s team hopes to put an end to the ongoing speculation and shift the focus back to his political engagements.
