President Bola Tinubu will swear in seven newly appointed ministers today, November 4, 2024, at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja, according to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga. This comes after the Senate’s recent confirmation of the nominees last week.

The ministers, representing various key portfolios, include:

  • Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda – Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction
  • Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi – Minister of Labour and Employment
  • Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu – Minister of State, Foreign Affairs
  • Dr. Jumoke Oduwole – Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment
  • Idi Mukhtar Maiha – Minister of Livestock Development
  • Yusuf Abdullahi Ata – Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development
  • Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad – Minister of State, Education

The appointment of these ministers follows an October 23 cabinet reshuffle where Tinubu re-assigned ten ministers, relieved five, and nominated these new ministers for Senate review. After a screening process, all seven nominees were confirmed on October 31, 2024.

The swearing-in ceremony reflects the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen various sectors, including humanitarian aid, employment, trade, and education, as part of Tinubu’s broader policy agenda.
