President Bola Tinubu will swear in seven new ministers on Monday, November 4, 2024, during a ceremony at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja. This announcement was made by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via his X handle on Sunday.
The new ministers include:
- Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction
- Muhammadu Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment
- Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs
- Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment (Trade and Investment)
- Idi Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development
- Yusuf Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development
- Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad as Minister of State for Education
This swearing-in comes shortly after a cabinet reshuffle on October 23, where President Tinubu reassigned 10 ministers to new roles, discharged five ministers, and nominated seven replacements for Senate confirmation. Following a screening process, the Senate confirmed all nominees on October 31, paving the way for their formal induction into the cabinet.
