President Bola Tinubu has removed Dr. Chioma Ejikeme as the Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), just 13 months after reappointing her for another four-year term. The announcement was made on Monday by the Head of the Corporate Communications Unit at PTAD, Olugbenga Ajayi.

New Leadership at PTAD

The statement revealed that Tolulope Odunaiya has been appointed as the new Executive Secretary of PTAD. Odunaiya officially assumed office on November 18, 2024, at the PTAD headquarters in Abuja, succeeding Ejikeme, who served from August 2019 to November 2024.

A Commitment to Collaboration and Service

In her first address to PTAD staff, Odunaiya expressed gratitude for the efforts of her predecessors and outlined her vision for a collaborative and empowering work environment.

“It is with a deep sense of responsibility and purpose that I address you as the new Executive Secretary of this Directorate,” she began. “I want to begin by acknowledging the remarkable work of my predecessors and the dedication of every individual who has contributed to bringing us to this point.”

Odunaiya emphasized the importance of unity and collective purpose, stating, “My vision is for a directorate where every individual feels recognized, empowered, and motivated to make meaningful contributions.”

Focus on Pensioners’ Welfare

Highlighting her primary objective, Odunaiya urged the staff to prioritize the welfare of pensioners. “I urge all of us to transcend personal interests and come together around our shared purpose: improving the lives of our pensioners, who have selflessly served this nation, often in challenging circumstances,” she concluded.

This leadership transition signals a renewed focus on innovation and collaboration at PTAD as it continues its mission to serve Nigerian pensioners effectively.
