“This will allow employees using ChatGPT to easily access internal information, just as they use world knowledge via web search,” OpenAI stated.

To address privacy concerns, OpenAI ensures permissions for platforms like Google Drive and Slack are respected. Only authorized users can access specific content. Encrypted copies of company files will be synced to ChatGPT’s servers for indexing purposes, but OpenAI guarantees these files won’t be used for training.
The tool has some limitations. It cannot analyze images in Google Drive files or access Slack direct messages and group conversations. Administrators will also control which channels and files are synced with ChatGPT.
