The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has emphasized the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping Nigeria’s engineering and entrepreneurial landscape. Speaking at an induction ceremony held in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos, NSE Lagos Branch Chairman, Kesha Olukorede, encouraged the 507 inductees to apply their knowledge and skills in AI to address challenges in sectors such as security, engineering, and infrastructure development.
Olukorede stressed the urgency of adopting AI, stating, “You are either jumping on the train or being left behind. The world is not waiting, and Nigeria cannot afford to lag. Guest speaker and Managing Director of Kresta Laurel Ltd., Dideolu Falobi, described AI as a revolutionary force capable of equipping machines to perform human-like tasks.
