Nollywood star Nancy Isime recently shared an emotional and uplifting story about fulfilling two monumental dreams: completing her father’s lifelong dream of owning a home and purchasing her own mansion at the age of 33. In a heartfelt social media post, the actress took her followers on a journey through her humble beginnings and her unwavering determination to rewrite her family’s story.
Humble Beginnings: A Family’s Struggle
Nancy’s story begins at the age of 13, when her family moved into an uncompleted building that was to become their new home. Recalling the conditions of the house, she painted a vivid picture of the hardships they faced.
“I remember so clearly, sitting in what was going to be our new home – an uncompleted building. The only windows and doors were those protecting the rooms we would sleep in. Everywhere else was pure carcass! No flooring, no ceilings, no doors, no running water – just our beloved well which provided us water to do everything, including drink,” she shared.
The challenges of living in such a state left a profound impression on young Nancy. It was during this time that she made a personal vow: to help her father achieve his dream of a fully completed home before ever considering buying a property for herself.
The Journey of Hard Work and Sacrifice
Nancy revealed that her journey toward fulfilling this promise began at 17, when she took on her first job as an event usher. Driven by her resolve, she saved a portion of her earnings to put towards her father’s dream.
“After every earning, I’d set aside some money towards ‘Vision Daddy’s house.’ This continued throughout all of my career transitions,” she said. From ushering events to becoming a successful actress and media personality, Nancy’s dedication never wavered.
Fulfilling Her Father’s Dream
After years of hard work, Nancy achieved her first goal on December 18, 2022. She handed over the keys to her father’s fully completed and furnished home, fulfilling a promise she made as a teenager. Reflecting on this milestone, she expressed her gratitude to God.
“Quietly, while everyone was celebrating this new feat, in passing, I said, ‘God, I don do wetin you say make I do oh, abeg help me run my own, but no rush, at your own time.’”
Her Own Dream Home: A Year Later
In what Nancy described as divine timing, exactly one year later, on December 15, 2023, she received the keys and papers to her own dream home.
“Months prior to this day, I didn’t even think that was going to ever be a possibility in my life. Na husband house I be dey use style eye,” she added with humor, acknowledging her initial doubts.
Despite her earlier skepticism, Nancy achieved what she once thought impossible. She expressed her gratitude for the alignment of her blessings, crediting her achievements to God’s guidance and favor.
Faith, Gratitude, and Reflection
Nancy’s story is a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and hard work. She emphasized the importance of remaining obedient to God’s word, citing Deuteronomy 28:1-13 as a guiding scripture in her life.
“God is good! Because I am obedient to God’s word, Deuteronomy 28:1-13 has manifested so greatly in my life!” she wrote. She further attributed her success to God’s blessings, including wisdom, direction, and favor.
“God has not only blessed me with the grace, wisdom, direction, favor, and peace required to live a successful life, He has also opened doors man cannot shut, aligned me with the right opportunities, and caused me to find uncommon favor,” she added.

Nancy concluded her post with heartfelt gratitude, encouraging others to have faith in their journey and trust in God’s timing.
