The rebranding was unveiled at a recent event in Lagos, attended by key stakeholders from Nigeria’s telecom and ICT industries. The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Medallion, Mr. Ikechukwu Nnamani, who will continue in his role at Digital Realty, described the move as a “new dawn” for the nation’s telecom industry.

Nnamani explained that the rebranding aligns with the company’s values and reflects its strategic partnership with Digital Realty, one of the largest public companies in the U.S. The change, he emphasized, underscores the company’s commitment to providing world-class technology services. He also highlighted Medallion’s role over the past decade as a key player in Nigeria’s digital economy, offering carrier-neutral data centre services in Lagos and Abuja. Nnamani reaffirmed the company’s position as a trusted provider of fast, efficient, and cost-effective data centre and connectivity services.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Mike Hollands, Digital Realty’s Vice President for Market Development, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities ahead. He noted that the rebranding will enable the company to build on its existing customer base and infrastructure, further strengthening internet connectivity in Nigeria. Digital Realty aims to meet the growing demand for connectivity in Africa, focusing on improving internet infrastructure to serve over one billion people who currently lack adequate access to the benefits of the internet.
