Kazakhstan’s Ministry for Emergency Situations announced on Wednesday that 25 people have survived a passenger jet crash that occurred in the western part of the country. The plane was carrying 67 people at the time of the accident.

Initial reports from health officials stated that 14 survivors had been hospitalized. However, the Ministry later updated the figures, confirming that 22 of the 25 survivors were admitted to medical facilities for treatment.

“According to preliminary information, there are 25 survivors, of whom 22 have been hospitalised,” the Ministry stated in a message on Telegram.

Investigation and Emergency Response

Authorities are continuing rescue operations and investigating the cause of the crash. Emergency teams are on-site providing medical assistance to survivors and working to recover the remaining passengers.
