The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has assured Nigerians that there is no fuel shortage and urged citizens to avoid panic buying.

This statement comes amid concerns over possible supply disruptions, leading to long queues at fuel stations in some areas.

IPMAN clarified that the supply chain remains stable and there is no cause for alarm.

The association emphasized that hoarding or panic buying only creates unnecessary pressure on the system, potentially leading to artificial scarcity.

Marketers have been advised to ensure constant availability of fuel at reasonable prices while the government continues to monitor the distribution channels to prevent hoarding and price hikes.

IPMAN also called on Nigerians to remain calm and patient, as efforts are in place to maintain smooth fuel distribution across the country.
