Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has dismissed Meyen Etukudoh, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the state-owned Ibom Power Company Limited. The decision, effective immediately, was revealed in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, on Thursday.

The statement outlined that the governor’s action is part of an ongoing restructuring initiative aimed at aligning the state’s power sector operations with the objectives of the ARISE agenda. The restructuring seeks to enhance efficiency and strengthen governance within the sector.

The announcement directed Etukudoh to hand over the company’s management to the Commissioner for the Ministry of Power, who will oversee operations until a new appointment is made. The statement concluded with the governor expressing his appreciation for Etukudoh’s service and extending his best wishes for future endeavors.
