“Ex-Council Chairman Isreal Idaisin Urges Youth to Prioritize Education and Celebrates Tenure with Community Carol Service in Akwa Ibom”

During a thanksgiving service and carol concert, former Ini local government chairman Rt. Hon. Isreal Idaisin emphasized the critical role of education in national development, urging leaders to prioritize it as a foundation for progress. Addressing community members, clergy, and dignitaries, Idaisin highlighted the importance of education for youth empowerment, noting his personal efforts to establish a primary school in his community to address the local lack of accessible education.

Idaisin shared that he funds the school and teachers from personal resources, awaiting government support, and has provided bursaries to support tertiary students, underscoring his commitment to educational development. Reflecting on his tenure, he expressed gratitude for successfully completing two terms without controversy, seeing his position as a divine responsibility.

The event, marking the 2023 Carol of Nine Lessons, aimed to foster reflection and gratitude through hymns and praise. Methodist Archbishop of Port Harcourt, Most Rev. Emmanuel Udofia, commended Idaisin’s leadership, describing him as a dedicated, grassroots leader. The Archbishop encouraged all leaders to exemplify integrity, urging them to create legacies that endure beyond their time in office.

Prominent figures, including Hon. Emmanuel Ukpong Udoh from the House of Representatives and other political and business leaders, attended the event, which featured Christmas carols and a fundraiser for a new church hall, with contributions from attendees supporting the initiative.
