The emotional address took place on Thursday at Temidire Primary School in Shogunle, as part of an initiative in collaboration with Seyi Tinubu to provide support to underserved communities in the area. Badmus, who appeared visibly moved, urged those in attendance to keep her in their prayers, particularly regarding her longing for children.
In a tearful speech, she said, “Please continue to pray for me. Always mention me, Eniola Badmus, in your prayers. I’m waiting on the Lord for children; I’m waiting on the Lord for kids. Please pray for me and for more opportunities so that I can serve you better. With your prayers and God by my side, I will continue to work together with you all and achieve a brighter and more prosperous tomorrow for many of our people. Thank you today, thank you always, and thank you forever.”
Honoring Her Late Father
In addition to her personal plea for prayers, Badmus took the opportunity to remember her late father, Alhaji Badmus, who passed away seven years ago. As a tribute to him, she requested a brief prayer in his memory, saying, “Before I drop the mic, I would like to have a one-minute prayer for my father, who left us seven years ago.”
The event was a blend of charity and heartfelt emotion, with Badmus opening up about her personal desires while continuing her work to support those in need. The actress’s sincerity and vulnerability have touched many, and her supporters are sure to rally behind her with prayers and encouragement.
