Born in 1960 in Araromi Ugbesi, Ekiti East Local Government Area, Justice Adeyeye was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986. He began his career as a state counsel in the old Ondo State civil service before moving to Ekiti in 1996, where he became part of the Judiciary Service Commission. Elevated to the Ekiti State High Court bench in 2002, he served on multiple election petition tribunals over the years. In October 2021, he was sworn in as Chief Judge of Ekiti State.
In July 2023, Justice Adeyeye narrowly escaped death when a section of the state high court complex collapsed on him while he was in his office. He sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized following the incident.
The Ekiti State Judiciary has expressed deep sorrow over his passing, highlighting his dedication to upholding the principles of fairness, equity, and justice. His contributions to the judiciary and Ekiti State are considered immeasurable, and his legacy will be deeply missed.
