Legendary juju musician Evangelist Ebenezer Obey has responded to the recent fake news about the death of Globacom Chairman, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., by releasing a heartfelt song to refute the rumor and criticize those behind it. The song, rendered in Yoruba, praises Adenuga’s virtues and calls out those spreading false information.

In the emotive track, Obey declares that Adenuga, renowned for his philanthropy and kindness, is alive and well. He sings:

“Whoever is wishing the Oyo-born business tycoon dead will drop dead before him. Mike Adeniyi Ishola Adenuga is not dead, he’s alive. Full of good deeds, he abhors evil. Don’t wish Adenuga dead, he’s alive. He’s not dead, a friend of the poor, the helper of the needy.

“My Ishola Adenuga, God who has brought you this far, will give you long life, physical strength, and sound health. Ishola, don’t mind those who wish you dead, you will not die.”

The song underscores Obey’s appreciation for Adenuga’s benevolence and highlights his mastery of the juju music genre.

This is not the first time Obey has honored Adenuga through music. In September 2009, he released a special album titled Mike Adenuga, celebrating the businessman’s significant contributions to society. The latest song is seen as both a defense of Adenuga’s legacy and a testament to his enduring influence on those who know him.
