Dr. Kazeem Akande, President of Ecolerite Institute for Peace Advancement (EIPA) and Chairman of the African Institute of Justice of the Peace (AIJP), has been awarded an honorary doctorate from Icon University of Science, Management, and Technology in Cotonou, Benin Republic. The recognition, bestowed during the university’s 6th Matriculation and Convocation ceremony, celebrated Dr. Akande’s leadership and administrative expertise in advancing educational and peace-oriented initiatives. He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Administrative Management and Leadership, alongside seven other distinguished Nigerians.

At the event, Icon University’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. Akhere Martins, encouraged the awardees to maintain their commitment to creating positive change in their respective fields. In his acceptance speech, Dr. Akande expressed gratitude to the university and reaffirmed his dedication to global impact through his ongoing educational and humanitarian endeavors.

Further solidifying his contributions, Dr. Akande received the prestigious Humanitarian Ambassador Award from the Word Insight Christian Centre (WICC) during its 2023 Anniversary Convention on November 19. The WICC award acknowledged his significant efforts in humanitarian service, particularly in education, youth empowerment, and peace-building initiatives. Dr. Akande’s extensive work, from managing educational institutions to serving on scholarship boards, reflects his enduring commitment to fostering development and social empowerment across communities.
