Nigeria’s tequila-flavoured beer, Desperados, has been announced as a key sponsor for the prestigious Soundcity MVP Awards, slated to take place tomorrow at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos. Known for showcasing the finest of African music and artistry, the Soundcity MVP Awards recognizes the creativity, talent, and hard work of African musicians, offering global audiences access to premium entertainment and highlighting the growing influence of the African entertainment industry.

The 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards will feature 15 categories, including Best New MVP, African Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration, Listener’s Choice, Viewer’s Choice, Digital Artist of the Year, and African DJ of the Year, among others.
The night promises electrifying performances from top African artists such as Rema, Oxlade, Dbanj, Vector, Ladipoe, Blaqbonez, Phina, Bad Boy Timz, Mohombi, Black Sherif, Kaligraph Jones, Lasmid, Spyro, and Magixx. Past editions of the awards have seen remarkable performances by icons like Davido, Tiwa Savage, and Joeboy.
