Cardify Africa Unveils Innovative Digital Business Card at Moonshot by TechCabal, Aiming to Revolutionize Professional Networking

The Moonshot by TechCabal event, held from October 11th to 12th, 2023, at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, brought together Africa’s tech ecosystem, investors, and enthusiasts for two days of dynamic networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. The event celebrated innovation across the continent, creating a vibrant platform for key players in Africa’s tech industry.

Among the notable exhibitors at the event was Cardify Africa, a cross-border utility payment startup known for its virtual dollar card, wallet, and bill solutions. Cardify Africa used the event to launch Cardify Business, an extension of the startup’s solutions tailored specifically for businesses. The standout feature of Cardify Business was the Cardify Digital Business Card, which offers a seamless, eco-friendly way for professionals to share contact information with others through a simple tap or scan.

Mr. Taiwo Idris, Cardify’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized the game-changing potential of the Cardify Digital Business Card in transforming the way professionals network in Nigeria. Instead of relying on traditional physical business cards, which are often lost or cumbersome, users can now opt for a more efficient, sustainable alternative with Cardify’s digital cards.

The digital business cards, available in PVC, bamboo, and metal, allow users to easily add and modify contact details, social media links, and other information via Cardify’s dedicated website or mobile app. If users need to update their details, they can do so in real time without the need to print new cards, aligning perfectly with sustainability and convenience in the digital era. These cards will be available for purchase online and in stores starting from November.

The Moonshot by TechCabal event also featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including Dr. Bosun Tijani, Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Juliet Ehimuan of Google West Africa, and Oswald Osaretin Guobadia, Managing Partner at DigitA and scribe for the Startup Act. The speakers addressed key topics regarding the future of technology in Nigeria and Africa, further enriching the event’s impact on the tech ecosystem.
