CAF Mourns Sudden Death of Ugandan Match Official Peter Kabugo

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Ugandan Premier League official Peter Kabugo, who tragically collapsed during a match at Wankulukuku Stadium in Uganda. In a statement released on Sunday via X, CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe extended heartfelt condolences to Kabugo’s family, the Federation of Ugandan Football Associations (FUFA), and FUFA President Moses Magogo.

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Motsepe conveyed CAF’s collective grief, acknowledging the impact of Kabugo’s loss on the Ugandan football community. “CAF President Dr. Motsepe conveys his and CAF’s deepest condolences to the family of Peter Kabugo, Federation of Ugandan Football (FUFA), its president Moses Magogo, and the Ugandan people,” read the statement.

In closing, Motsepe wished for peace and solace for all those affected, adding, “May Peter Kabugo’s soul rest in eternal peace.”
