The Blingz Event Awards (BEA), hailed as the largest gathering of influencers in Oyo State and recognized as one of the most credible and creative award platforms in Southwest Nigeria, has announced its sixth edition. The highly anticipated event is set to take place on Sunday, April 23, at the Dayland Event Centre, Ibadan.

According to the convener, Akintola Ayinde, the BEA is a prestigious platform that aims to celebrate creativity and acknowledge outstanding contributions within the events and entertainment industry. “For the past five years, Blingz Awards has set the pace in the industry, with each year outperforming the last. The awards have promoted healthy competition and quality events, having honored over 300 individuals and organizations,” Ayinde explained.

This year’s edition will be hosted by Nollywood actress Aisha Lawal, who has won several awards in the film industry. Ayinde further emphasized that the awards focus on celebrating events and entertainers who have exceeded expectations in their fields. “The Blingz Awards is a year-in-review celebration of events and entertainment professionals who have done beyond the ordinary. The nomination process is transparent, as forms are sent to key industry stakeholders with no interference from the Blingz team. Nominees are selected purely on merit, based on their contributions to the events and entertainment ecosystem.”

A nomination for the Blingz Awards, Ayinde noted, is a testament to the nominee’s hard work and excellence. All nominees, regardless of winning, are celebrated as VIPs, reflecting the ethos of the awards.

In addition to the awards ceremony, BEA is committed to giving back to society through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the “Unriddle Conference.” This conference, held six months after the awards, brings together top entrepreneurs, including past BEA winners, to inspire and mentor young, up-and-coming entrepreneurs. The sixth edition of the Unriddle Conference is expected to follow the awards later this year.
